stream of deliciousness

The week past was awful, I stayed up 4 nights for various work-->school work, application, lab report. Many thanks to jesus allah buddha and flying spaghetti monster I finally can have a break since this week isn't as hectic. But I found myself in a position of overly taking this freedom: not doing any work and skipping classes. My whole body is lazy and it seems i've used up my energy. Then I start to focus on the more fundamental questions such as what's the purpose of going to classes and doing all the works by my own free will. Or do I really have a free will. I guess not because I tend to not believe in the absolutism; therefore there's no absolute free will. but in the same theory I do have relative free will ey? Everyone, me you him her, we sometimes are so busy about our daily lives but then again, do we actually know what we are doing? or just doing it for the sake of it? or just follow this social "norm"?

Ok, here's the deal. The society set up a norm. No, should I say the people ourselves we set up some set of values we believe are beneficail in maintaining and develpoing our society. We as the elements in the society follow the norm, in a way locked ourselves accordingly. So the society will function well. Is it the most productive of all? certainly not. but it's the laziest way for people to function.

laziness does play an important factor in our lives. just because we want to be a little bit lazier we created this and that innovation and better society. It's economically pareto efficient. Do we need to stay smart? we don't want to think. Thinknig consumes soo much energy. Homo sapiens became smart because when they were at their monkey-like stage they start to trade between individuals. and to trade better you need a better brain. homo sapiens sacrificed their ability to synthesizing necessary amino acid, reducing their guts, to make space for their ever-expanding brain.

Now let's go back to the norm. Since we have norm, we then have the comparason, then it leading to a judgement of good or bad. for example we have a standard english writting regulation. Anyone who's not obeying this regulations is considered bad and anyone who's doing it well is considered good. But what if you are a chinese writer you don't follow the damn rule of english? well, you are not gonna be judged by the same god-of-english-writing. you go for your own god. THat's is fine. Until a couple of hundreds years ago we get to know each other around the globe. Initially british empire sending their missonaries, religiously and culturally, to judge people under a british god-of-regulation. They went in the amazon rainforest telling people who wear their local dresses stop doing their "barbaric behaviors". stop wearing the palm tree leaves and get a suit on you! some of the missionaries died a miserable life because they thoguh they knew everything. Start to drink his afternoon tea from the local water, without knowing there's crocodiles inside. but anywho after generations of brain wash people start to wear suit all over the world.

Now it's a new era. we do still have this old british empire altitude of judging everyone by the british god-of-regulation. but we do realize the multilateral multiangle multidimentional world's emerging. this is call "le mondialization". We are like a bunch of troglodytes who just domisticated fire. we are testing how are we going to use it. OF COURSE the priest there is yelling at us the fire is evil, don't eat the flesh that is being burnt. but we love the taste, yummm.

hey, you, don't judge my writing. it's just for entertaining and inspiration.
